It helped me for the xbox one controller. 1)Go into the Big Picture; 2)In the library, select RDR2 and go to "Manage shortcut"; 3) Then go to "Controller Options" and disable the "Allow desktop Configuration in Launcher" checkbox; Then click play and it's done. P.s: two small details: *In the main controller settings, I have the "Xbox Settings

The game worked fine and picked up the controller with no problems when I launched the game in Rockstar Game Launcher. Now controller gets picked up initially and the game shows PS buttons in the menu but all inputs are ignored and the controller doesn't work. I reinstalled the Rockstar Launcher.

You can with DS4Windows, you'll just get glitchy button prompts.
